Mechanism of Action
  • Paracetamol is a peripheral-acting painkiller with antipyretic properties.
  • Caffeine acts on the central nervous system by producing a condition of awakening and increased mental activity.
  • Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic agent with predominant alpha-adrenergic activity. It has a low decongestant and bronchodilator activity.
  • Chlorphenamine maleate is a potent antihistamine (H1-receptor antagonist). Antihistamines diminish or abolish the actions of histamine in the body by competitive reversible blockade of histamine 1 receptor sites on tissues. Chlorphenamine also has anticholinergic activity.
